Gatlinburg WeddingsGatlinburg, Tennessee and Smoky Mountain weddings attract more than 25,000 brides and grooms annually. Experienced professionals help you get past this stressful decision-making time to decide where to get married (wedding chapel, outdoors, or cabin), present a choice of wedding packages and receptions, and a range honeymoon lodging for you and the wedding party.
Getting married in Tennessee is still easy. To purchase the marriage license locally, both bride and groom must be present to buy the license from the County Clerk's Marriage License Centers (see locations below). There is no waiting period and you don't need an appointmen. A proof of age is required by use of a state-issued picture ID, certified birth certificate, driver's license, or current passport. A blood test is not required and applicants don't need to be residents of Sevier County. Couples may also bring a current Tennessee marriage license from anywhere in the state of Tennessee--but it's only valid for 30 days after issuance. Both parents or a legal guardian must attest the marriage certificate if the applicants are under 18.
